Card 6 – Conflict
Key words: will-to-power, hostility, jealousy, stubbornness, aggression, fear, competitiveness, controversy, fight
My personal interpretation of this card:
Pay close attention to any kind of conflicts that may show up in your life. Learn to stay grounded and learn to control your emotions. This card shows the possibility of a serious confrontation. A situation can arise between you and another person of an equal power. It can also be about a situation or some event in your life, that has importance to you. Are you about to deal with some internal conflict? There is a coming face to face with your own demons. Things cannot stay the same as before; this conflict will need resolution.
The main element on the card is depicting two giants made of stone, who are getting ready to fight. Notice the tiles are common to both, but their direction is slightly different. Also one of them is lighter and the other one darker. Could this refer to a male vs. female confrontation, or the good side vs. the dark side of the situation?
Stone is an amazing element that is present here. Think for a second about all the mineral kingdom, and all the healing powers of the gemstones. Stone means stability, endurance, solidity, physicality, but also coldness, rigidity, and heaviness.
The lower part of the card shows waters, which is the symbol for emotions. This conflict might start because emotions are not controlled, and they move too fast. Imagine the waves of the ocean! These could be gentle and soothing, but also strong, powerful and destructive.
This card is bringing an enhanced awareness in your life at this time, where you have to pay close attention to your feelings, and keep them in balance. It is time for you to be firm, decided, but avoid keeping your body-mind structure too rigid, or your fire within might burn some bridges. Soften a little, and take a look at the situation from a neutral ground. Only then act based upon your understanding.
